What have you done to create a good culture in your organisation?

Defining what a good culture looks like could take a whole book and not a short LinkedIn post. So, instead, I’ll tell you what it’s not.

I’ve lived and breathed poor culture in the workplace, and the snapping, rude behaviour and feeling of dread when you turn up to work are not nice.

It took a lot of time and effort to eradicate the behaviours contributing to the toxic atmosphere, starting from the leadership team and the way they operated. I was over the moon when we managed to turn things around to a point where it was like working for a completely different company. People loved turning up to work!

It reassured me that any business could change and reaffirmed my belief that cultural change comes from hard-working individuals who want to affect change. Only then can you create documents and slogans that embody the culture and not dictate it.
