According to a global survey by Asana (link below), that’s how many unnecessary hours (on average) professionals waste in pointless meetings each year. That’s around 6.5 days that you could put to better use, which doesn’t necessarily mean sipping cocktails on a tropical island.
It could mean clearing your inbox, making a dent in your workload, chatting to colleagues, eating lunch or going for a walk around the block several hundred times.
In other words, activities that enhance workplace wellness and productivity.
Luckily, there are plenty of ways to make things run more smoothly during your weekly team meetings, but the first thing to do is get the foundations right and ask yourself these questions.
Do your meetings take place on the same day and at the same time each week? Do they have the same core agenda, start on time and end on time?
If the answers are no, then please come along to one of my Boardroom Insights sessions. I will run you through a successful strategy for productive meetings and tackle other key ways to improve your business readiness for 2022. All in two hours (no time wasted), either online or in the room.
How do you keep your meetings focused? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
