As more and more people begin to work remotely due to COVID-19, there will be an awful lot of tidy kitchen drawers unless you inspire your employees to be focused and help drive the business in the right direction.
How can you do that?
Communicating the ‘why’ and core values of your organisation has never been more important as people look for a reason to feel connected to the greater purpose of the company.
Try to find a way to work the core values into everyone’s routine. Such as:
· Give out awards for those demonstrating a core value at the weekly (Zoom) meeting
· Live core values where you can. e.g. ‘Inclusiveness’ could be a virtual team lunch
· Ask those setting tasks to explain the link to broader company goals or ‘why’
