In a recent post, I talked about being hesitant to use Amazon to order products from overseas as supply chains are so clogged. Amazon does a great job in allowing small Australian businesses the opportunity to showcase their wares to a broader market. However, I am nervous that my Amazon order will be severely delayed or won’t arrive at all at the moment. And it seems I’m not alone!
Over the last 18 months, we’ve seen distinct reliance on home-grown goods, services and talent. More of the businesses I work with are choosing manufacturing options over here and employing more locals. Even the fruit and veg on the supermarket shelves has an Aussie accent.
However, flying the Australian Made/Grown flag can come at an extra cost – but do you think it’s worth it?
Let me know in the comments (and please click the link to read my article on ‘reshoring’ manufacturing).
