Is it time to start running your business like a Coach instead of a Boss?

The difference? A Boss tells, and a Coach listens.

You may have created a culture where your team always come to you for an answer without thinking about the solution themselves. You’re the expert, right? They don’t need to think because you’ll tell them everything they need to know.

It’s easy to fall into this trap, but you can turn it around by empowering each of your team members to become leaders themselves, not just followers.

Coaching can start by simply asking your employees questions (even if you know the answers) and encourage them to find solutions within themselves or the team. Not only will they find it empowering, but it shows that you respect their opinion and input and believe in them.

Taking ownership and responsibility boosts confidence and means an employee is fully aware of their contribution in the bigger scheme of things. Guess what? Organisations that coach their employees usually have better-performing employees compared to traditional top-down management.

Are you able to bring a coaching style to your business? Let me know in the comments below.
