Even if it looks impossible, I’d encourage you to stick with the plan.
More than that, nail it to the proverbial masts and re-set the course of the business in line with your original BHAG because you will get there, or damn close.
Here’s your inspiration.
In 2010 less than 100 businesses were running under the Entrepreneurial Operating System. Founder Gino Wickman set a BHAG of having 10,000 businesses under EOS in 10 years. Gulp.
You can see why he picked those audacious numbers for his goal. They couldn’t have been much bigger and hairier, and when I was introduced to EOS in 2015, the total was around 1,000. Still, a loooong way to go.
Well, in 2020, EOS Worldwide hit that BHAG! Initially, celebrations were muted due to Covid. However, Implementers came together (many virtually) all last week in Las Vegas to acknowledge this phenomenal achievement.
Better still, it will remind us to keep setting Big, Hairy, Audacious Goals with our clients and help them stay on target.
